I had another go at the linocutting yesterday and today. My subject was ‘Broxy’, my sister’s rather human and all knowing hamster. Happier with the lino and tools today. Just had to accept that working small meant I won’t have much finesse with what cutters I have.

Of course, my mother says it looks more like a bear than a hamster. What sort of bear has ears like that?!

I made the ink using a mix of the yellow and red.

I cheated and didn’t bother with using registration marks. Next time, I’m going to try a design that requires different colours and cutting away between colours. What I don’t know.

Any suggestions out there for what I could try next?
